Are you looking to meet new people, share ideas, and make our research community more vibrant? Then consider joining the Postgraduate Social Committee!
The Postgraduate Social and Networking Committee is made up of postgraduate students, who work with the Postgraduate Education Team to organise departmental postgraduate social events.

What’s the purpose of the committee?
The committee aims to enhance the postgraduate experience by organising social and networking events that bring together students across different RIG’s and cohorts. It is a great way to foster a stronger sense of community and make time in the lab (and out of it) more enjoyable.
What kind of events can be organised?  

Previous and suggested events include:
•    Coffee morning
•    Termly happy hour
•    Seasonal celebrations (e.g. Halloween, Christmas socials)
•    Board game or movie nights
•    RIG based meet-and-greets (Recycle your poster social)

Committee Roles
•    Chair - Organising meetings and delegating of responsibilities for events
•    Promotions - posters and flyers and social media for events
•    Catering/ordering - choosing and ordering food and drinks for events
•    Secretary - minute taking
