Chemistry Showcase

Chemistry Showcase is our annual celebration of the research happening across the Department. All second year postgraduate students present posters, and third year students give short talks within five Research Interest Group (RIG) symposia.

All members of the Department are invited to attend; faculty, postdocs, and postgraduate students. You’re encouraged to join any sessions, including those beyond your own Research Interest Group, to support our PhD students and explore the wider research community.
 

• Poster presentations from all second year students 

• 10–15 minute talks from third year students, followed by Q&A

• RIG Themed symposia: Biological, Materials, Physical and Atmospheric, Synthesis, and Theory.

Exact arrangements for each date will be emailed to all participants from the PG Education Team.

Chemistry Showcase 2026 will take place on various days between 24 September & 7 October.

• Physical RIG - Thursday 24th September. Talks in Unilever Lecture Theatre. Poster presentation in Todd-Hamied meeting room.
• Materials RIG - Tuesday 29th September. Talks in Wolfson Lecture Theatre. Poster presentation in Todd-Hamied meeting room.
• Synthesis RIG - Wednesday 30th September. Talks in Wolfson Lecture Theatre. Poster presentation in Todd-Hamied meeting room.
• Biological RIG - Thursday 1st October. Talks in Wolfson Lecture Theatre. Poster presentation in Todd-Hamied meeting room.
• Theory RIG - Wed 8 Oct. (PM) Talks in Wolfson Lecture Theatre. Poster presentation in Todd-Hamied meeting room.
